The Frankfort Falcons will face off against the East Hardy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
East Hardy will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Frankfort extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Falcons blew past Hampshire 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lanson Orndorf was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Nething, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Blake Jacobs was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Frankfort always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hampshire only posted an OBP of .233.
Meanwhile, East Hardy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Tygarts Valley on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 19-11 to the Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 7, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Frankfort pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Hardy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Frankfort took their win against East Hardy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 20-8 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
