The Adams City Eagles pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a  76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster. Adams City has struggled against Westminster recently, as their  contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  defeat, Adams City had strong showings from  Kevin Casillas, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 15  rebounds, and  Zak Ahmed, who  scored 12 points. Those 15  rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.  Jalen Mckinnies was another key contributor,  scoring nine points along with six  rebounds.
 Adams City has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Westminster, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adams City won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Kennedy at 7:00  p.m.  on January 5th. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to face off against Northfield at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
