It was fun while it lasted, but Iron Academy's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Tuesday. They fell 55-45 to the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes. The loss was the Swordsmen's first of the season.

Samuel Trueblood had an outrageously good game for Emerson Waldorf as he made all 10 shots he took racking up 26 points and five blocks. The game was Trueblood's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lawson Mentz, who posted 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Iron Academy fell to 4-1. As for Emerson Waldorf, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.

Iron Academy will head out to face off against Wake Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Emerson Waldorf, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-42 loss against Carolina Friends on the 12th.
