The Walnut Hills Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Kings with a 51-47 win. The win was all the more spectacular given Walnut Hills' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Knights are ranked 183rd).
Cj Claxton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Austin, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Walnut Hills' victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Kings, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Walnut Hills will head out on the road to challenge the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Clermont and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Kings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
