Calverton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lanham Christian, falling 103-33. Calverton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-16.
Brandon Woodard was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists for Lanham Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woodard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakari Wilson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Calverton dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lanham Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing King's Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Calverton will host King's Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lanham Christian will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
