The Braden River Pirates''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 21-10 victory over Charlotte. For Braden River, this counts as revenge for the 35-21 loss Charlotte walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2020.
Braden River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Despot, who threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Yahshua Edwards, who gained 116 total yards and a touchdown.
Braden River's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 3-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Charlotte, Lakewood Ranch, and Gainesville. As for Charlotte, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Braden River will be playing at home against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Charlotte, they will head out on the road to face off against Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ida Baker comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
