The Ada-Borup Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 71-62 win over Hillsboro/Central Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ada-Borup to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin McCraven, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Larson, who scored 13 points.
Ada-Borup pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ada-Borup will take on Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wahpeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wahpeton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Hillsboro/Central Valley likes a good challenge.
