Sadly, the Columbia Capitals are still looking for their first win of the season after 21 games. They had to suffer through a rough 55-19 loss at the hands of Eau Claire. While losing is never fun, Columbia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Eau Claire is ranked 112th).
It was another big night for Destinee Tiller, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and two steals for Eau Claire. Tiller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Quindia Nelson, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Columbia dropped their record down to 0-21 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Eau Claire, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.
