Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chaparral to victory, but perhaps none more so than Qualib Ghallab, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ghallab has scored at least 25% of Chaparral's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayshawn Armstead, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Moapa Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryson Walker. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Wheeler, who scored 10 points along with 7 assists and 3 steals.
Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Moapa Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
