Asher Maxwell Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Dayton's Asher Maxwell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Maxwell rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run.
Dayton pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Maxwell and Dayton will host Santiam Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ezra James Goes Supernova in Taft Win
Ezra James's big game helped extend Taft's winning streak to four on Friday. Willamina had no answer to James as he threw for 268 yards and five touchdowns while completing 95% of his passes.
Taft's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. James and Taft are taking a road trip to square off against Amity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tolan Made His Presence Known in Taft's 42-0 Win
The second Taft player making an appearance here is Kol Tolan, and for good reason. He picked up 136 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tolan and Taft will head out to face off against Amity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Warriors, probably because Tolan had a solid game then too: he picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Logan Lovell produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Taft to the win on Friday. Lovell wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (1.5 for loss). The matchup was his third straight with five or more total tackles.
