It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Jackson Aggies had no problem doing just that on Monday. They claimed a resounding 75-20 win over the Gators at home. The victory was nothing new for Jackson as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Leading Jackson to victory were Keeyun Chapman and Landon Duckworth. Chapman scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Duckworth scored 16 points along with five steals. Chapman hasn't dropped below three blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Micah Caster, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Jackson's win was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Satsuma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-24 record this season.
Jackson has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Satsuma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
