The Golder Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Golder knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Muchin College Prep likes a good challenge.
Golder pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-55 to Woodlawn.
Muchin College Prep can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They managed a 40-35 win over Noble Street College Prep.
Muchin College Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jalen McIntyre, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Tristen Batts, who scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Batts has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Gipson, who scored no points along with seven assists.
Golder's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Muchin College Prep, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.
Golder was able to grind out a solid victory over Muchin College Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 64-55. Will Golder repeat their success, or does Muchin College Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
