The Desert Pines Jaguars posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Silverado 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Desert Pines' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Prince Davis, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Damonte Duhart, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Desert Pines has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
Desert Pines on the road again on Saturday and play against Legacy at 10:30 a.m. on January 20th. As for Silverado, they will challenge Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
