Division II - West recap October 8, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Division II - West this week, Monadnock beat Laconia 66-37. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Huskies.
Sanborn Regional took down ConVal 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Isaiah Prince was a passing and rushing force as Monadnock bested the Sachems.
Brandon Carland was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cougars lost to the Indians. Carland racked up 3 receptions for 49 yards. Liam Baldwin helped ConVal's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
ConVal's John Crowley and Baldwin led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Crowley has thrown for 363 yards this season, while Baldwin has 13 catches for 154 yards. Dylan Lane from Linwood Patnode's team leads the league in rushing with 541 yards.
A big matchup in Division II - West this week will be when Ryan McCartney's team takes on the Huskies. As it stands, the Cougars are in fifth, while Monadnock is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when ConVal and the Huskies face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Cougars comes in having scored 14 this season, while Monadnock has scored 197. ConVal scored 0 points last week as it lost to Sanborn Regional.
The Huskies led the league in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on Laconia. Prince ran for 101 yards in the win.
