Football Recap: Winslow Township Piles Up the Points Against Millville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winslow Township). They really took it to the Millville Thunderbolts for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.

Jalen Parker had a dynamite game, throwing for 274 yards and four TDs. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Nakeem Powell was Parker's top target, picking up 15 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 37 yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Winslow Township, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Karon Ceaser, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Winslow Township didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Erik Worley and Benjamin Carter Jr.

Winslow Township now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winslow Township will venture away from home to face off against Camden at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Millville, they will head out to take on Delsea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
