Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morrice). Everything went their way against the Genesee Wolves on Monday as the Morrice Orioles made off with a 62-37 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Orioles as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Genesee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Aguliar, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points and five steals. Brandon Rouse was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Morrice's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for Genesee, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrice won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Standard Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Standard Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 219 points over their last three contests. Genesee has already played their next match (against Flint Southwestern Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
