After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridgefield, the St. Joseph Cadets were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Darien by a score of 73-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tj Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 38 points along with five assists and two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Joseph's points. Jayden Febus was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and three steals.
St. Joseph now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Darien, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
St. Joseph will take on Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Norwalk is ranked 57th, while St. Joseph is ranked 60th). As for Darien, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Staples at 7:00 p.m. Staples knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Darien likes a good challenge.
