The Hugo Buffaloes will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Kingston Redskins at 3:00 p.m. Kingston took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hugo, who comes in off a win.
Even though Broken Bow scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Hugo still came out on top. Hugo secured a 60-56 W over Broken Bow. The victory was all the more spectacular given Hugo's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Broken Bow is ranked 86th).
Meanwhile, Kingston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 53-48 to Madill. Kingston has not had much luck with Madill recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Hugo's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Kingston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Hugo didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Kingston when the teams last played back in January of 2021, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win. Will Hugo repeat their success, or does Kingston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
