If the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders were riding high off their 52-31 takedown of the Green Sea Floyds Trojans last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hannah-Pamplico took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wild Gators. It was the first time this season that Hannah-Pamplico let down their fans at home.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tylin Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Mason Hanna was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Jayden Ford was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Ray, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks.
Hannah-Pamplico's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-8. As for Lake View, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hannah-Pamplico will take on the Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lamar is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Lake View, they will be playing at home against the Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Latta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday.
