The Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 47-23 walloping at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent. Raleigh Christian Academy lost against Non Varsity Opponent in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-20 score last time.
Raleigh Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Hopkins, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Garris Massey, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 66-161-1.
Raleigh Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against White Plains Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 5th. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Xavier at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
