Given College Achieve's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Weequahic is ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Weequahic had strong showings from Tyhir Barlow, who scored 26 points along with two steals, and Hekeimu Williams, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
College Achieve is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Weequahic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
College Achieve will head out on the road to square off against Hudson Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Weequahic, they will look to defend their home court on Sunday against Hillside at 11:00 a.m.
