Softball Recap: Centennial's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Centennial can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past the Ridgevue Warhawks 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since April 10, 2025.

Centennial got a massive performance out of Bailey Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Simpson has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlize Veldhouse, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Ridgevue, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Centennial will challenge Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. Ridgevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
