The Albion Purple Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Newfane 88-34. Ben Dickinson was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with nine rebounds and six steals for Newfane. The match was Dickinson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Brayden Seitz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Albion bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Newfane, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Albion will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Medina at 6:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024. Newfane will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Barker at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Barker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Newfane is ranked 114th).
