Everything went their way against the Lamar County Trojans on Tuesday as the Jackson Red Devils made off with a 75-51 win. The score was close at the half, but the Red Devils pulled away in the second half with 53 points.
Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trent Hill led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jd Pennamon, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.
Jackson moved to 2-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Lamar County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will take on Academy for Classical Education in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lamar County and Mary Persons will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
