Baseball Recap: Weatherford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Weatherford got themselves on the board against North Crowley on Thursday, but North Crowley never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 11-0. Considering the Kangaroos have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Weatherford, bringing their record up to 17-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for North Crowley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Weatherford will face off against rival Lake Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Kangaroos 3.4, the Eagles 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Crowley is set to challenge their familiar foe Boswell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
