The Corinth Warriors will square off against the New Albany Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
New Albany will be up against a hot Corinth squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Warriors put the hurt on Amory with a sharp 41-17 victory on Friday.

Corinth's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Qwuantiver Young, who rushed for 122 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries, and Patrick Crump Jr., who rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Those 122 rushing yards gave Young a new career-high. Xavier Young made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Corinth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 356 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Another reason for the win was Corinth's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Miyae Holbert with 2.5. Phildarius Burt got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for New Albany against Tishomingo County on Friday as the team secured a 52-21 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Corinth better keep an eye on Kylen Knox. He was instrumental in New Albany's win, rushing for 97 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Braden Shettles was another key player, throwing for 156 yards and a pair of TDs.
Corinth's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for New Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Corinth has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 322.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like New Albany struggles in that department as they've been averaging 167.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
