Tarpon Springs was the clear victors by a 24-9 margin over St. Petersburg on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spongers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Paige Viegut was a standout: she scored five runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Housh, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances.
Tarpon Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Largo had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Spartans get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. With that win, the Packers brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Paige Sofge made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Miranda Rollins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Mia Kabakov was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Tarpon Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15 runs. Largo's victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
