Haskell has gone 6-1 against Summit Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Haymakers will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Haskell comes in on ten and Summit Christian Academy on five.
Haskell came out on top against Edison on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Haymakers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Haymakers, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Jaxon Drain made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Drain was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jagger Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Grider, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Haskell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Nathan Hale on Thursday, but Nathan Hale never followed suit. They blew past the Rangers 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Haskell, Summit Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Caden Antle. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Antle was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Jax Bowley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Garett Converse also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Haskell's record now sits at 11-1. As for Summit Christian Academy, their record is now 12-5.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Haskell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .576. However, it's not like Summit Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .478. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Haskell's way against Summit Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Haskell made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Haymakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
