After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last eight contests, The Leonard Tigers finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-0 loss at the hands of Gunter. Leonard has struggled against Gunter recently, as their contest on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Walker Overman had an outrageously good game for Gunter as he rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 60 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Overman, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown.
Leonard's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Gunter, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Leonard will head out on the road to face off against Bells at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Bells will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Gunter will take on Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Blue Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
