Williston has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Cedar Key Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Williston will be strutting in after a victory while the Sharks will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Williston strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 58-41.
Williston found their leader in underclassman Janiyah Span, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Span has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kierce Solomon, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Cedar Key came up short against the Bulldogs on Friday and fell 46-38. Cedar Key has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Williston's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Cedar Key, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Williston strolled past the Sharks in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 61-45. Will Williston repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
