Merced has gone a perfect 3-0 against Gregori recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bears will square off against the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Merced will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Merced's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past El Capitan 17-0. Considering the Bears have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Haiden Priddell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Merced got a massive performance out of Ava Waldron, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Waldron has posted since back in March. Lillian Gallegos was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Merced always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Capitan only posted an OBP of .235.
Enochs hit Gregori with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars lost 11-1 to the Eagles. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Gregori saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layah Belle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Merced's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Gregori, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Merced hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Gregori struggles in that department as they've averaged .422. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Merced skirted past Gregori 7-6 when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
