For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Mariner and Lemon Bay have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. Mariner put the hurt on Lemon Bay with a sharp 11-1 victory.
Gabi Winters made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Winters was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Oasis has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Mariner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 12.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Oasis might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Mariner when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Oasis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
