Grace Christian really took it to New Life Camp for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-48 win at home. Given Grace Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while New Life Camp is ranked 433rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ma'Kyi Butler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ellis, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Grace Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for New Life Camp, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Grace Christian will head out on the road to take on Thales Academy Apex at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Thales Academy Apex has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for New Life Camp, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against DASH at 8:00 p.m.
