In what's become a running theme this season, the Hale County Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by Northside on the road to the tune of 63-18. Winning may never get old, but Hale County sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hale County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shaniah Jones, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yasmine Jackson, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northside struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Hale County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Hale County will be playing at home against Demopolis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Demopolis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Hale County is ranked 69th). As for Northside, they will head out on the road to challenge Sipsey Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
