Hagerty has gone a perfect 3-0 against Winter Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Hagerty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against West Orange as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
N. Adkins looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, M. Murray Jr. was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. S. Chucka also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Hagerty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Orange only posted a batting average of .217.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winter Park). They blew past Lake Mary 15-2 on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Chase Carney looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Winter Park got a big performance out of Isaac Incinelli, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Smith, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Hagerty pushed their record up to 25-4-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Winter Park, their record now sits at 24-4.
Hagerty beat Winter Park 4-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
