Ridgefield was the 16-0 winner over Woodland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spudders fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Spudders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bailey Wolski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Charlie Harris was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Ridgefield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Woodland, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Ridgefield will host Hockinson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.89 runs per game on average), something the Spudders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Woodland, they are taking a road trip to take on Rochester at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
