The Ocoee Knights came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 51.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Plant by a score of 41-33.
Ocoee had a senior duo take command as Micah Hannah scored 18 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds and Paris Triplett scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hannah has scored at least 25% of Ocoee's points. Another player making a difference was Reese Bellamy, who scored no points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Plant's loss came despite strong showings from Jazlyn Bowman and Elise Rowland. Bowman scored 14 points, while Rowland scored two points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks. The matchup was Bowman's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Plant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
