The Episcopal Maroon's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. The match between Episcopal and John Carroll wasn't particularly close, with Episcopal falling 66-48.
Tyler Pelkey and Bryson Carter certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Pelkey scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, while Carter scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Davian King, who scored three points.
Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for John Carroll, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Episcopal won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Friends Academy at 11:00 a.m. on December 17th. Friends Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 249th in New York, while Episcopal is ranked 119th in Virginia). John Carroll and St. Anthony's will face off at 3:15 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully St. Anthony's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Sunday.
