The South Webster Jeeps's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 50-29 walloping at the hands of Chesapeake. South Webster was down 41-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, South Webster had strong showings from Addi Claxon, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, and Bre Potters, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Potters scored 15 or more points.
South Webster's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Chesapeake, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-9.
South Webster won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Chesapeake, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on River Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. River Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Chesapeake surely won't give up without a fight.
