Overhills was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Columbus Stallions. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Stallions from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
  Darren Ludwick was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Houston Poole, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Overhills' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for South Columbus,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 15-3.
 Overhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Columbus, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Whiteville  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 29th. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Stallions 3.5, the Wolfpack 2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
