The Father Lopez Green Wave are taking a road trip to challenge the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Augustine took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Father Lopez, who comes in off a win.
Father Lopez barely beat Mainland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Green Wave put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 19-3 victory on Wednesday.

Grace Koenke made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Father Lopez got a massive performance out of Erin Kealy, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Kealy is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Scotlyn Gill was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Tocoi Creek hit St. Augustine with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellow Jackets lost 14-2 to the Toros. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Toros recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
St. Augustine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gia Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Father Lopez, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Father Lopez has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Augustine struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
