The Victory Baptist Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 59-12 defeat at the hands of South Haven Christian. Victory Baptist Academy has not had much luck with South Haven Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
South Haven Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sofia Ashley out in front who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Reagan McElyea, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Victory Baptist Academy's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for South Haven Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Victory Baptist Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant View Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pleasant View Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Monday. As for South Haven Christian, they will be playing at home against Franklin Road Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Road Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
