JOLIET, Ill. - After two lead changes,
Benet Academy (Lisle, Ill.) took the lead for good when
Jack Beneventi thew a touchdown to
Jack Crain with 3:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Joliet Catholic Academy (Joliet, Ill.) 31-21 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown, the Hilltoppers went into halftime with a 21-14 lead. The Redwings took the lead for good with a Beneventi touchdown pass to Crain in the fourth quarter.
Beneventi played well for Benet Academy in the victory. The sophomore quarterback threw four touchdowns.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Joliet Catholic Academy took, 35-0.
