The Providence Lions lost against the Princeton Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Providence suffered a rough 67-42 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Providence has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Leading Princeton to victory were Junior Andrade and Corwyn Roberson. Andrade scored 22 points along with six assists and two steals, while Roberson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Andrade is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tito Reynoso, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Providence's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Princeton, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.
Providence will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Princeton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
