The McKean Highlanders lost against the Dickinson Rams back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. McKean was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to the Rams.
Several Highlanders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmine Sessoms, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Dolores Samson, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
McKean has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Dickinson, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKean won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Owls at 3:30 p.m. on February 6th. Odyssey Charter has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Dickinson, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on February 7th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Delaware (Concord is ranked 35th, while the Rams are ranked 37th).
