The Hadley Luzerne Eagles will be playing at home against the Beekmantown Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Hadley Luzerne had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They suffered a tough 75-50 loss at the hands of Greenwich on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hadley Luzerne in their matchups with Greenwich: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Beekmantown gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ogdensburg Free Academy 66-30 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-9.
Beekmantown can attribute much of their success to Josh Sand, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Herrera, who scored 9 points.
Hadley Luzerne's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Beekmantown, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
