Pantego Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Midland Classical Academy by a score of 54-45 on Saturday. The win was just what Pantego Christian needed coming off of a 83-43 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pantego Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aj Brooks, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Brooks hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamerson Green, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Covenant Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grace Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Covenant Christian has scored all season.
The win got Pantego Christian back to even at 15-15. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
