Oakcrest has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Atlantic City Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Oakcrest fell victim to Cedar Creek's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell 13-0 to the Pirates.
Even if they lost, Oakcrest's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Sean Torres and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Atlantic City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it three two weeks ago. They breezed by Bridgeton on the road to the tune of 48-6. The result was nothing new for Atlantic City, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Atlantic City's victory bumped their season record to 6-1 while Oakcrest's defeat dropped theirs to 4-4.
Oakcrest came up short against Atlantic City in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 26-21. Can Oakcrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
