Palm Harbor University strolled past Calvary Christian with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 48-30. This was payback for Palm Harbor University, who suffered a 61-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Palm Harbor University got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Leah Barker out in front who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Olivia Krempp, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Palm Harbor University has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Harbor University will take on East Lake at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Patel at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Patel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday.
