 Kyleigh Mace tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Archbishop Mitty let  Rylie Hicks and  Olivia Anderson run wild. Hicks  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI, while  Anderson  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-6. That's the most  hits  Anderson has posted since back in April of 2024.  Gianna Catalano also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Archbishop Mitty  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .558. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.  Looking ahead, Archbishop Mitty will venture away from home to  challenge Gilroy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Gilroy 1.4, Archbishop Mitty 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Carlmont, they will challenge Aragon at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Carlmont has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
